System Supporting Tax Base Determination for Land and Building Tax Collection, The Treasury Department

BY esri, gisc

In collaboration with The Treasury Department, CDG Group has implemented the Esri Geographic Information System (GIS) to streamline operations at both the regional and central levels. At the regional level, the ArcGIS Desktop software is utilized to import land parcel data and other relevant layers. GIS tools are employed to analyze and validate the shapes and depths of land parcels, as well as their relationships with other pertinent data layers that influence land values. Furthermore, data is interconnected between the regional treasury offices and the central database, providing essential information for calculating land prices based on The Treasury Department's prescribed formula. Once the assessment prices are determined, the land parcel data and corresponding assessment prices are made publicly accessible. Users can search for land prices using Deed IDs or Parcel IDs through the ArcGIS application web portal.
