GlobeTech teams up with the leading global IT partners Expanding markets through IoT and ADAS technologies
GlobeTech, Ltd., a leading location content provider, is partnering with Israel-based Mobileye, a global leader in the development of vision technology for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to tsp into the transport and logistics sector. GlobeTech is also collaborating with Daliworks, South Korea’s foremost provider of the Internet of Things Cloud platform to broaden its market base through its new service “NOSTRA Thing+ IoT Platform”. The company is anticipating continued growth this year with total revenue of 200 million baht.
Mr. Wichai Saenghirunwattana, General Manager of GlobeTech Company Limited (GT), explains that the company is adopting Mobileye’s ADAS to develop a Navigation System to support the transport and automobile sector in attaining higher levels of driving safety. ADAS alerts the driver of potentially dangerous situations through such components as Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).
Demand for the real-time vehicle management system Telematics is increasing in line with auto industry growth. Carmakers now include Telematics hardware as a standard feature on many models to make drivers safer. GlobeTech is expecting the transport sector to increase by 12.5 percent this year.
Mapping for GIS service (Geographic Information System) is also gaining in popularity. In addition to large enterprises, SMEs are now also using mapping to help analyze complex data using highly accurate and precise information. Online Maps is another service offered to meet the needs of enterprises and features a cloud-based base map service for coordinate reference. GT provides easy-to-use applications with comprehensive standard functions to support SMEs.
The government’s Thailand 4.0 policy, which promotes rapid growth of e-commerce in Thailand, and the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) are also driving the use of mapping in enhancing quality of services and making a difference in the face of tougher competition. GlobeTech expects its mapping services to grow by 15 percent.
In addition to Intel Corp’s autonomous driving unit Mobileye, GlobeTech has entered into partnership with Daliworks, a leading South Korean leading provider of IoT Cloud Platform, to adopt ThingPlus for the development of NOSTRA Thing + IoT Platform service. This is now available in Thailand and is designed to facilitate customers in real estate, smart warehouses and smart farms.
The ThingPlus platform will help customers create their own solutions as needed in a way that is both easy and fast from monitoring and real-time data analysis to automated functionality. It is also in line with the growing number of IoT service users in Thailand. GT estimates that the NOSTRA Thing+ IoT platform service will represent a 5 percent share of the company’s total revenue this year.
Mr. Wichai adds that GT is recognized as a leading location content provider offering products and services including digital mapping, dynamic location content, and base maps with comprehensive precise databases and high coverage both in Thailand and in ASEAN region under the “NOSTRA” brand. GT’s highly experienced team has constantly developed products and services for more than 20 years.
Moreover, GT provides a consulting service to help customers use map data that’s specific to their business. The company develops mapping information through the integration of various technological formats including geographic information systems (GIS), Location Based Service (LBS), Augmented Reality (AR), automobile navigation system, GPS Tracking, solutions incorporated in Telematics, Indoor Navigation, as well as web applications and mobile applications. These allow business partners to utilize mapping for business planning and management.
“Thanks to the growth of all our services and our partnerships with two global leading companies to develop new platforms for market expansion, GT projects total revenue of 200 million compared to 160 million last year,” Mr. Wichai concludes.
