GNSS Automatic Network, the Royal Thai Survey Department of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters
Elevate Thailand's Surveying Standards to International Levels
In collaboration with the Royal Thai Survey Department under the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, the CDG Group has successfully implemented an automated Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) network. This ambitious initiative involved constructing and installing a network of Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) to provide highly accurate and precise coordinate measurements in both horizontal and vertical dimensions. With comprehensive coverage of 80 strategically positioned stations across Thailand, the data collected from this network has been utilized in various sectors, including surveying systems development, land and elevation surveys, natural disaster assessment and prevention, precision agriculture, transportation, research and development planning, and monitoring of tectonic plate movements. Through this project, Thailand has elevated its surveying capabilities to international standards, ensuring accurate and efficient operations while significantly reducing costs.
